Senior Retail Project Manager

About the role

Mapos Architects, DPC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage a design-forward retail client with many new and renovated store locations. Additional projects include hospitality/hotels, private residential, medium-scale mixed-use developments, and master planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage a design-forward retail client with many new and renovated store locations.
• Work on hospitality/hotel, private residential, medium-scale mixed-use developments, and master planning projects.
• Remote work but located in the greater NYC area for in-person meetings and site visits.
• Lead and delegate to teams on multiple projects, including managing professional sub-consultants across various disciplines.
• Efficiently produce your own work and oversee the work of others.
• Design and present work creatively, with precision, and a sense of mission.
• Run retail projects from feasibility and concept phases to store planning, fixture design, and construction documentation, through construction/fabrication administration and final punch list.

Requirements

• 7+ years of design-forward professional experience in retail.
• Can work at home/remotely.
• Located in the greater NYC area for in-person meetings and site visits.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in running retail projects from feasibility and concept phases, to store planning, fixture design and construction documentation, through construction/fabrication administration and final punch list.
• The ability to efficiently produce your own work and responsibly oversee the work of others.
• A passion and ability to design and effectively present their work.
• Experience leading and delegating to teams on multiple projects.
• Knowledge of standard project phasing, milestones, and deliverables.
• Proficiency in hand-sketching, Revit, Sketchup, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
