About the role
The Department of Pediatrics at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS), in collaboration with the Child Health Institute of New Jersey (CHINJ), seeks senior researchers to join a vibrant and growing department. The position is part of a larger initiative to enhance NIH-funded pediatric research programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-impact research aligned with the goals of the Department of Pediatrics and CHINJ.
- Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to advance knowledge in areas such as organ transplantation, pediatric cancer, and developmental disabilities.
- Engage in extramural research funding applications and management.
- Teach and mentor students and junior faculty members.
- Participate in the academic mission of Rutgers and RWJMS, including education of trainees.
Requirements
- MD or PhD degree.
- Eligibility for appointment at Professor rank at Rutgers University.
- A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and extramural research funding.
Qualifications
- Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and prior/current extramural research funding.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in grant writing and management.
