About the role
The charity is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Researcher to make a significant contribution on a 24-month fixed term contract to the design, delivery and management of research and evidence projects at the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Leading and delivering high-quality evidence synthesis, as a core component of the research portfolio.
- Working across a range of projects including the topics of social care and the transition to adulthood, education, mental health & wellbeing, youth violence and early years, using a range of methods as appropriate.
- Ensuring work is delivered to the organisation's quality standards.
Requirements
- Experience in conducting research, particularly in evidence synthesis and systematic reviews.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of mixed-methods approaches and secondary data analysis.
Qualifications
- A relevant PhD or equivalent in a field related to research, such as social sciences, public health, or psychology.
- Proven track record in research project management.
- Experience in working with diverse datasets and methodologies.
Skills
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Strong knowledge of systematic review and evidence synthesis techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent writing and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in statistical software and databases.

Pay
£40,855 per annum, Nationwide – £44,167 per annum for London
Schedule
Full Time, 35 hours per week. The employer is open to flexible hours and working patterns, including accommodating part-time and compressed hours where possible. The employer promotes a hybrid, flexible way of working with 2 days working in the office if based in London.
