About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Research Scientist for Autonomous Vehicle Research. The ideal candidate will contribute to groundbreaking research in vehicle autonomy, collaborating with internal product teams and external researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cutting-edge techniques in vehicle autonomy
  • Publish and present original research at top conferences and journals
  • Collaborate with other research team members and internal product teams
  • Transfer and/or open-source technology to relevant product groups
  • Collaborate with product teams to integrate research results into production systems

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of relevant research experience in vehicle / robot autonomy
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle / robot autonomy theory and practice
  • A track record of research excellence with publications in top conferences and journals
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and parallel programming (e.g., CUDA)
  • Understanding of common machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow

Qualifications

  • Passionate about advancing AI and vehicle autonomy
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, research-focused team

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits

Base salary range: $192,000 - $304,750 for Level 4, and $224,000 - $356,500 for Level 5. Eligible for equity and benefits.

Pay

Base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and comparable positions.

Schedule

Full-time position.
