About the role
We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer to develop and integrate high-voltage (HV) and pulsed-power components for microwave linear accelerator (linac) systems used in radiation oncology.
Responsibilities
- Design, improve and integrate HV and pulsed-power electrical systems for microwave linac applications.
- Design, run, and interpret experiments.
- Develop specifications internally and externally; design and validate tests.
- Provide scope, cost, and schedule for research and engineering projects.
- Cross-functional collaboration, project execution in a fast-paced environment, and effective supplier coordination are essential.
Requirements
- MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Plasma Physics, Engineering Physics, or related field.
- 5+ years designing, building, integrating, and maintaining pulsed-power systems.
- Hands-on experience with relevant lab and HV test equipment.
- Self-directed team player, strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Able to work effectively with experts across disciplines, strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with circuit simulation and ECAD a plus.
