For our client, a leader in the Information Technology space, we are seeking a Senior Research Engineer in Threat Intelligence to turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action.
Responsibilities
- Own and streamline the research-to-production conversion process for threat detection artifacts
- Develop and maintain STRIKE platform components across various services
- Transform research findings into actionable detection content and correlation pipelines
- Drive the adoption of data models like STIX 2.1 and TAXII 2.1
- Automate workflows to enhance research efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to ensure integration of research into products
- Act as a liaison, bridging communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; self-taught practitioners welcome
- 5-8 years of hands-on engineering experience in threat intelligence or detection engineering
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node for production deployment
- Experience with relational and cache data stores, and familiarity with streaming or batch data platforms
- Working knowledge of STIX 2.1, TAXII 2.1, MISP, and MITRE ATT&CK methodologies
- Hands-on experience with YARA, Sigma, and STIX Patterning
- Understanding of applied language models in production systems

Pay
$140,000 – $150,000 annually
