About the role

This is a new position and is a unique opportunity to support the data needs for Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction (FMDC) and the broader Office of Administration through the OA Operational Excellence team. The position will be held in the Commissioner’s Office with the focus on FMDC data needs, with the opportunity to support other key agency initiatives as FMDC needs are met.

Responsibilities

  • Support the collection, planning, analysis, and reporting of facility data for more than 14 million square feet of state-owned and leased properties.
  • Work in partnership with OA-FMDC leadership, other state agencies, and national and regional organizations involved in managing large portfolios of buildings and real property assets.
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain facility and real estate datasets;
  • Produce customized reports for specialized building and real-estate projects;
  • Deliver standardized reporting and ad hoc data requests.
  • Provide critical insights that support strategic planning and informed decision-making across the state’s facility portfolio.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree and three years of data analysis experience are preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms, such as Tableau and Qualtrics, is preferred.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Skilled in the utilization of concepts associated with Lean Six Sigma.
  • Highly proficient with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep Builder, and Excel.
  • Experience with data warehouses, writing queries, using SQL, and developing reports.
  • Understand the rules associated with handling protected health information (PHI).

  • Detail oriented and organized, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and complete tasks with a sense of urgency.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and determine reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to drive problem-solving.
