Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in the characterization of samples from upstream and downstream process groups, analyzing and documenting data.
- Run HPLC/UPLC methods (including RP, SEC, IEX etc.) for biologics process development and USP and DSP support purposes.
- Additionally, run other common analytical methods such as electrophoresis (e.g., SDS-PAGE), Western-Blot, ELISA, PCR, Endotoxin, host cell proteins, concentration, and cell-based assays for biologics process development and USP and DSP support purposes.
- Operate the analytical instruments to support the relevant projects.
- Generate, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
- Document data in laboratory notebooks.
- Afford assistance in writing reports and preparing scientific presentations as needed.
- Effectively communicate with/report to the involved more senior scientists on the experimental status and results of the relevant projects.
- Ensure and promote safe environmental and laboratory practices.
Qualifications
- Ph.D./MS/BS degrees in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical/Biochemical engineering, or related discipline with hands-on experience with biologic/protein analytics in biopharmaceutical industry using the aforementioned analytical methods.
- Ph.D. with ≤1 year or MS with ≥1 year or BS with ≥1 year of industry experience in analytical characterization of biologics molecules and data analysis/interpretation in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related environments.
- Strong technical, organizational, and skills.
- Strong teamwork/collaboration spirits and good ability to communicate appropriately and effectively.
- Advanced written skills.
- Attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
- Proficient with the use of MS Office software (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint).
- Flexible and results oriented.
