About the role
The Hiring Department is seeking a Senior Research Associate to contribute to cutting-edge research in extractive metallurgy of critical materials relevant to battery production. This role involves designing, organizing, and conducting research, analyzing engineering test data, and preparing comprehensive research deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Design, organize, and conduct research in extractive metallurgy of critical materials related to battery production
- Collect, interpret, and analyze engineering test data, and summarize research findings
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, technical reports, and other research deliverables related to assigned projects
- Aid in the preparation and writing of research proposals and other funding applications
- Write peer-reviewed journal articles and present research findings at scientific conferences
- Assist in overseeing and coordinating research projects, including mentoring and supervising graduate and undergraduate students as needed
- Perform other research-related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Materials Science or a related field
