Senior Research Associate (Infectious Disease / Virology)

About the role

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Senior Research Associate (Infectious Disease / Virology) to join our pharmaceutical client in West Point, PA. This is a 12‑month contract to start with the potential for extensions. The role is 100 % lab‑based onsite.

Responsibilities

• Run ELISAs, viral plaque reduction assays, and serum neutralization assays.
• Generate viral stocks.
• Manage internal and external shipments and sample inventory.
• Provide overall laboratory support for the Infectious Disease and Vaccines department.

Requirements

• Minimum degree: BS/BA (6 years) or MS (4 years) in a biological science‑related major; maximum degree: PhD with at least 1 year of hands‑on expertise with the required skill set.
• At least 3 years of laboratory research experience outside of degree programs.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States and ability to sit on a Primary Talent Partners W‑2 without sponsorship.

Skills

• Required: Virological assay support, tissue/cell culture, ELISAs.
• Preferred: GraphPad Prism, electronic lab notebook.

Pay

$37.00 – $47.41 per hour; W‑2 contract.
