About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Associate to join our dynamic Antibody Validation team. This role emphasizes immunohistochemistry (IHC) expertise while also leveraging advanced computational and image analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for IHC workflows, including tissue preparation, antibody optimization, staining, and troubleshooting.
  • Design and execute antibody validation studies for IHC, ensuring exceptional specificity, reproducibility, and scientific rigor.
  • Leverage advanced image analysis platforms and computational tools to extract meaningful insights from complex IHC datasets.
  • Perform validations across additional antibody applications such as ICC, WB, Flow Cytometry, and multiplex IF to support evolving needs.
  • Demonstrate scientific agility by seamlessly adapting to evolving business priorities and emerging technologies.
  • Drive end-to-end validation processes from experimental design to data analysis and reporting.
  • Lead high-complexity projects and process improvement initiatives, while ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Research Associates and Advanced Research Associates.
  • Analyze, interpret, and present data internally and externally, showcasing key findings and demonstrating mastery in IHC applications.
  • Draft, revise, and implement SOPs while adhering to quality control standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Product Management, and other stakeholders to integrate IHC and antibody validation insights into the broader R&D pipeline.
  • Utilize internal databases and Smartsheet for sample tracking, data entry, and project documentation.

Qualifications

  • Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or related field with 5+ years’ experience. Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or related field with 3+ years’ experience.
  • Preferred Skills: Expertise in computational and AI tools for image analysis and data visualization (e.g., ImageJ, Halo, Visiopharm). Hands-on experience with other antibody applications (ICC, WB, Flow Cytometry, multiplex immunofluorescence). Experience using spatial biology platforms.

Pay

Annual base salary: $62,300.00 - $102,350.00
