Senior Representative - Outside Sales
About the role
At Wesco, you will be part of a dynamic team that builds, connects, powers, and protects the world. As a Senior Representative - Outside Sales, you will play a crucial role in increasing sales and margins for the Company's products and services.
Responsibilities
- Qualify accounts by determining market potential and providing periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Execute and expand assigned customer account plans, collaborating with management.
- Drive account growth and retention through sales/supplier plans, leveraging sales management tools.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Develop and deliver presentations, manage customer relationships, and resolve issues post-sale.
- Travel to current and potential clients and suppliers, working flexible schedules and occasional overnight travel.
- Provide quotations and perform joint sales calls with suppliers.
- Mentor the sales team and communicate relevant information and expectations for optimal customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- High School Degree or Equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years outside sales experience, 4 years industry experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50-75% of the time.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (preferred).
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Benefits
Compensation details: $98,104 - $132,439 annually. Additional benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and retirement savings plans. For certain sales roles, Wesco offers a commission structure based on sales results.
