Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead a practice specializing in various assessment and remediation projects, including brownfield development, along with groundwater resource investigations. This candidate will support various assessment and remediation projects, including brownfield development, along with groundwater resource investigations. The candidate will be a part of and manage staff within a team for completion of soil and groundwater sampling, aquifer performance testing and data evaluation, pilot study investigations, environmental compliance, observation of remedial activities, report writing, agency coordination, and permitting.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Engineering or Geology or related degree.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer or Geologist in Georgia.
  • 10+ or more years’ relevant experience.
  • Client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, area counties, water management authorities and local, regional, state agencies.
  • Business development skills and the proven ability to win work.
  • Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.
  • Possess strong knowledge of state and local environmental regulations, including Chapter 62-780 FAC.
  • Possess experience with aquifer performance testing and data analysis and working with regulatory agency staff.
  • Possess strong technical writing skills and have experience writing detailed technical reports.
  • Enjoy working in both an office environment and in the field.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel for projects, as needed.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
  • Desire to provide exceptional client service.
  • To manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • To enjoy work independently and on a team.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Experience with water use permitting rules and regulations.
  • Familiarity with contaminant fate and transport analysis.
