About the role

The Senior Reliability Engineer will guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, and controls in collaboration with Site Operations. They will identify and manage asset reliability risks, develop maintenance plans, evaluate suppliers, and apply data analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, and controls in collaboration with Site Operations.
  • Identify and manage asset reliability risks affecting plant or business operations.
  • Develop, monitor, and refine asset maintenance plans, including preventive and predictive maintenance tasks and failure detection tools such as vibration analysis, oil monitoring, and thermography.
  • Develop and own risk management plans to minimize equipment-related downtime and reliability issues.
  • Evaluate equipment and technical MRO suppliers and maintenance service providers.
  • Develop engineering solutions to eliminate or minimize repetitive failures and operational problems related to capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance.
  • Apply data analysis techniques including reliability modeling, Pareto analysis, fault tree analysis, Six Sigma methodologies, root cause analysis (RCA), and failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system (FRACAS).
  • Perform asset analyses such as asset utilization, equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life, and other parameters defining asset reliability and costs.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Participate in the development of design, installation specifications, commissioning plans, and the final commissioning of new installations.
  • Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/design, and make/buy decisions.
  • Carry out other duties as reasonably instructed within the employee’s skills and abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of maintenance, reliability, production management, engineering, or operations experience.
  • Experience in bulk pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing, and related support systems.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and failure detection tools.
  • Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Visio).
  • Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
  • Leverage Lean/Six Sigma experience.

  • Must be legally able to work in the US without sponsorship.

Pay

$115,000.00 - $125,000.00/year
