Senior Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Specialist (Remote)

The Senior Specialist of Regulatory Operations & Compliance (ROC) is responsible for above-brand regulatory compliance activities and systems and process support for the Nestlé Health Science (NHSc) business in the US. This position is expected to have a solid understanding of the regulatory environment for the products commercialized by NHSc in the US and the internal systems and processes used to drive regulatory compliance activities for the US business. This position also provides guidance to cross-functional teams in areas like recipe compliance, labeling, claims substantiation, ingredient qualification, procurement, and internal auditing.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key business partner and problem solver to provide ROC guidance in support and training of our systems, processes, internal auditing, and above-brand regulatory compliance activities.
- Assure compliance with applicable US regulations, third party requirements, and internal Nestlé policies through mastery of the systems and processes used by the cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders, including Regulatory & Scientific Affairs, Quality, Procurement, and Recipe Management to support the regulatory compliance of raw materials/ingredients, formulas, and finished products.
- Clearly communicate/escalate to the business any areas of concern related to product, systems or process compliance and works towards solutions and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Global teams and export markets taking product produced at US based manufacturing sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline (MBA, Registered Dietitian, or MSc are a plus).
- 4+ years of experience in the food/supplement regulatory environment.
- Experience with SAP, ContentHub, and Veeva are a plus.
- Strong ability to manage projects of moderate to high complexity and prioritize actions.
- Some availability for national travel, including travel to in-person team meetings.
- Experience with project planning, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is $85,000.00 to $110,000.00. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
