Senior Registered Structural Engineer - Industrial Water

About the role

The Structural Engineer will design structures supporting water purification and treatment facilities, with a focus on industrial clients and projects. This role involves designing various structural systems, supervising a team, and participating in a diverse range of projects including power generation, data centers, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Execute complex structural analysis and prepare sketches and drawings for projects.
  • Supervise Structural Engineers and work with Structural Technicians in preparing structural drawings and specifications.
  • Lead construction phase engineering duties such as site visits, responding to RFI’s, and reviewing contractor submittals.
  • Manage project administrative tasks including design fee estimates, budget monitoring, change management, and quality control.
  • Coordinate with architects and other discipline engineers.
  • Provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, and applicable engineering codes.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and implement resource management strategies.

Requirements

  • Master of Engineering or Master of Science in Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Experience with alternative delivery methods such as EPC, Design Build, Progressive Design Build, and FEL/FEED.
  • Experience supporting clients in industries like Data Center, Food & Beverage, Semiconductors, Mining, Life Sciences, Power, Pharmaceutical, and Oil & Gas.
  • Familiarity with the latest editions of the International Building Code, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC Steel Construction Manual, ACI 530.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA 3D, STAADPro, or SAP 2000.
  • Proficiency with non-structural software packages such as Bluebeam, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, and Revit.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
  • Active engineering registration or licensure in applicable countries.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.

Pay

$148,852 - $248,578 annually, depending on location.
