Senior Recruiter (Temporary)

Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Senior Recruiter to join our team and play a key role in scaling a variety of teams across G&A, Engineering, and Commercial Operations. This temporary role will handle the full-cycle recruitment process for technical and business-focused roles in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a scalable recruiting strategy across supported teams and manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, including offer negotiations.
• Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to build targeted talent pipelines.
• Create and post compelling, accurate job descriptions aligned with team needs.
• Source and screen candidates for roles across software, engineering, operations, and customer support.
• Conduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessments.
• Follow up with passive candidates and nurture long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill roles.
• Provide regular updates on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and hiring trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant recruiting experience.
• Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical job requirements.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and CRMs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to be in person in our Santa Cruz or San Carlos, CA office 3+ days per week.

Skills

• Experience with iCIMS ATS system (desired).
• Experience with Gem (desired).
• Background in aerospace, high-tech, or start-up industries (desired).

Pay

The target base pay for this position is $49–$65 per hour. Compensation will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Schedule

This is a 6-month full-time temporary role based in our San Carlos or Santa Cruz office, expected to be onsite at least 3 days per week.
