About the role

Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking a Senior Real Estate Credit Administrator to join our Credit Risk Management division in our Rancho Cordova, CA or Novato, CA office. This position manages the safe growth of the Bank’s Commercial Real Estate loan portfolio in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high degree of customer service and the integrity of the credit management process.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure credit presentations are accurate and thorough.
  • Maintain accurate and timely risk grades.
  • Verify loan structures are appropriate to manage risk.
  • Support ongoing improvement in the credit process by recommending and implementing policy and procedure modifications to meet market and regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial real estate underwriting skills.
  • Strong understanding of documentation for complex commercial real estate credits, including notes, loan agreements, security agreements, and title documents.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly understand and communicate concepts both verbally and in written form.
  • Team contributor with a positive attitude toward assisting others and treating co-workers respectfully.
  • Excellent accounting knowledge (college coursework or equivalent work experience) as applied to credit underwriting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in a related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

The hiring pay range for this position is $177,318 to $270,643. All bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies by role. The pay rate depends on factors including geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
