We are a Veteran-owned consulting firm in Washington, DC, focused on strategic sourcing, supply chain, and IT staffing. This role supports the modernization of the District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles Enterprise Application by leveraging cloud computing, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to create a modern experience for customers and partners.

About the role

The Senior ReactJS Developer will design, develop, and test applications using ReactJS technologies, facilitating the full development lifecycle from QA to production. You will integrate designs and wireframes into the application code, optimize components for cross-browser compatibility, and develop responsive web-based UIs while understanding the current system infrastructure and security needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture that meets enterprise standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
  • Develop, test, and deploy applications and systems
  • Revise, update, refactor, and debug code
  • Improve existing Java applications and systems
  • Proactively monitor and report performance utilization of assigned technologies
  • Troubleshoot software and/or hardware issues/failures
  • Manage problem or escalated tickets and out-of-cycle requests from systems/software owners
  • Determine the best course of action for meeting business needs and provide consultative expertise to customers on system usage
  • Monitor and identify broader, complex issues across multiple integrated technologies and communicate as appropriate
  • Provide technical knowledge and support to District agencies, personnel, and additional stakeholders
  • Deliver support and design for industry-specific applications requiring integration with statewide systems
  • Interact with executive-level business users or technical experts
  • Function as a niche technical Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Coordinate activities of application developers when needed
  • Identify best practices and standards for product use

Requirements

  • 16 years of enterprise web development experience
  • 3 years of experience with React-UI framework (React.js)
  • 3 years of experience with ReactJS, RXJS, NodeJS, ES6/5
  • 3 years of experience with Redux architecture
  • 3 years of experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular 2.0
  • 3 years of experience developing React Native components
  • 3 years of experience with JSX (JavaScript Syntax Extension)
  • 3 years of experience with REST APIs
  • 3 years of experience with JSON and XML
  • 3 years of experience translating wireframes and designs for development
  • 3 years of experience with CSS libraries, Sigma, Adobe XD
  • 3 years of experience with ReactJS workflows (Flux, Redux, Create React App, data structure libraries)
  • 3 years of experience with Git version control repository
  • 3 years of experience with Tomcat/Jetty/Undertow application servers
  • 3 years of experience with Linux working environment
  • 3 years of RedHat OpenShift container-based application development and deployment experience
  • 3 years of knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development
  • Ability to qualify for a Senior level STaR2 position (11 years of relevant experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Must be a DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) resident

Pay

Target annual salary: $126,336.00 - $135,360.00.
