Senior React Native Engineer

This is a hybrid role (in office Tues, Wed, Thurs) based in Charlotte, NC.

About the Role

Provides advanced-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases under general direction. Translates technical specifications into code for moderately complex new or enhancement projects, integrates third-party products, and ensures tests support automation. Elevates code into development, test, and production environments, provides follow-up production support, and submits change control requests and documentation. Follows software development methodology and architecture standards, participates in design/code/test inspections, and supports systems analysis activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement applications and databases at an intermediate to advanced level.
• Translate technical specifications into code for new or enhancement projects.
• Integrate third-party products into applications.
• Write, test, and produce reports for programs and code artifacts.
• Ensure tests are implemented to support automation.
• Deploy code into development, test, and production environments on schedule.
• Provide follow-up production support and submit change control requests.
• Document processes and adhere to software development methodology and architecture standards.
• Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
• Engage in systems analysis activities and understand client business functions and technology needs.
• Comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ related work experience, with at least one year of development experience.
• Experience with React Native.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Skills

• Proficiency with React Native application development, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and demonstrate hands-on understanding.
• Understanding of design patterns, integration patterns/practices, data modeling principles, and best practices.
• Strong track record of project delivery for large cross-team projects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, managers, PMs, and customers.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated experience with software engineering fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, dependency injection, testable code, and algorithms.
• Experience with latest React Native.
• CI/CD Pipeline (GitHub Actions / Fastlane).
• Git (GitHub).
• Honeycomb or Splunk.
