Job Responsibilities
- Develop and review radiological work packages, including time, material, and labor estimates
- Serve as the authorized subject matter expert for RWCPs, ensuring correct application of radiological controls
- Cookordinate work area resources to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Fulfill customer radiation protection requests in accordance with RP-1 priorities
- Work effectively with customers and supervision to resolve problems, elevating issues as needed
- Provide technical leadership and review, potentially including technical supervision responsibilities
- Anticipate problems and resolve unforeseen issues, demonstrating expertise in safety and compliance
- Contribute substantially to project and group accomplishments through independent effort
- Develop solutions to complex problems, applying ingenuity, creativity, and independence
- Perform work with moderate physical demands, including lifting and carrying radiation protection instruments
Qualifications
- High school diploma and four to six years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive experience supporting radiological activities and facilities
- Operational health physics expertise
- Demonstrated ability to apply extensive knowledge to complete specialized tasks
