About the role

CLA is growing and seeking to hire a Senior Associate – R&D Tax Credits to join our talented Federal Tax Strategies (FTS) team. The position offers growth, flexibility, and a collaborative work environment. In this role, you should have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, strong problem-solving and creative skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment. Most important, demonstrate a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist FTS leaders with the delivery of research and development (R&D) tax credit studies for various industries.
• Develop a deep understanding of various industries including Manufacturing, Agriculture, Construction, Healthcare, and Technology.
• Demonstrate success in a business environment.
• Assist managers, directors, and principals with client consultations, technical interviews, calculation review, site visits, and report development.
• Mentor associates and other team members on their inspired career.
• Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience required.
• Experience in business services or consulting preferred.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA preferred.
