Senior R&D Scientist -Pyrometallurgy

About the role

Responsible for conducting advanced research and development in pyrometallurgy to improve tailings management processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize pyrometallurgical processes.
• Develop and implement new technologies for tailings treatment and disposal.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate research findings into operational practices.
• Write technical reports and present findings at internal and external meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in pyrometallurgy or related fields.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical principles and tailings management.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental regulations and their impact on tailings management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
