Key Responsibilities
- Lead new product development and product sustainment initiatives.
- Design, evaluate, and improve products and manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical leadership within the engineering team.
- Plan and execute pilot builds and product validation testing.
- Support product transfer and launch into manufacturing.
- Create manufacturing documentation, inspection plans, and training materials.
- Drive first article inspections and production readiness activities.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful product outcomes.
- Partner with external vendors and suppliers to support development efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, plastics engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in plastic component or device manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing injection molded products.
- Proven success leading component and system design projects from concept to launch.
- Experience planning and executing verification and validation (V&V) testing.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
