Senior Quantitative Research Analyst
Salary range: $120,000 USD – $140,000 USD. Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. About the role
As a member of the Research & Development team, this position will direct and expand research across the Investment Division. Activities include initiating, fostering, and collaborating on data-oriented research projects with associates involved in investment research, manager research, portfolio construction and analysis, asset allocation, and implementation. The role oversees and creates quantitative solutions and analysis to support these projects and ensures their completion. A key responsibility is supporting and developing the FX and futures overlay platform, as well as quantitative research across equity, fixed income, and private assets. The position provides material guidance to junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct bespoke research projects on investment topics across all asset classes, strategies, and security types, with a focus on FX and derivative research.
- Lead portfolio construction research.
- Direct and conduct research using Python, SQL, and various internal tools, databases, and systems.
- Partner with associates across the Investment Division to bring research projects to completion.
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in FX strategy research, derivatives, equity or fixed income portfolio construction, factor research, strategy backtesting, optimizations, machine learning, and coding.
- Master’s degree or higher preferred in Finance, Math, Computer Science, or Economics.
- CFA or progress toward it is preferred.
- Understanding of quantitative portfolio management.
- Programming skills in Python and SQL, with knowledge of production coding techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across the Investment Division (including portfolio management, manager research, asset allocation, and implementation).
- Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects simultaneously while directing junior associates.
- Proven ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic environment.
