Senior Quality Lead (Days)

About the role
Supervise and support the activities of the Oven Technicians on a 4-shift operation. Determine training needs and oversee/evaluate development of quality staff in assigned areas. Maintain adequate staffing and monitor performance. Maintain and update all in-process inspection records. Assist in interpreting dimensional specifications. Perform Production Part Approvals (PPAP) for customers as requested. Assist in corrective and preventative action activities (8D’s, one-pagers). Collect and review forms from various areas of the production facility. Coordinate periodic tooling audit for all measurement equipment in the plant. Maintain laboratory equipment and work procedures to ensure speedy and accurate testing.

Requirements
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, maintain records, and work with interruptions
- Ability to create, review, and evaluate operating procedures and recommend improvements
- High proficiency in oral and written English
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff
- Positive, courteous, and friendly attitude
- Willingness to learn new duties and job-related skills
- Self-directed and self-motivated
- Familiarity with root cause investigation tools
- Available for nights and weekends with occasional overtime
- 1-3 years minimum leadership experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience in extrusion ideal
- Ability to work on the production floor with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, loud noise, and varying temperatures
- Must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds at times
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Pay
Competitive pay with a $1.00 extra per hour perfect attendance bonus and $1.50 per hour night shift differential.
