Senior Quality Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, collaborative Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in a precision metal machining environment serving the aerospace industry. This role is deeply integrated with shop floor operations, working closely with machinists, engineers, and leadership to ensure product quality, drive process improvements, and uphold aerospace standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented environment and is passionate about building strong relationships to solve problems and elevate performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure product quality through rigorous testing and inspection processes
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and leadership to identify and implement process improvements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet and exceed aerospace standards
• Support the development and implementation of quality control systems
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements

Standing for extended periods, manual handling of equipment and materials, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies
• Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations
