Senior Quality Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications
- Build and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java and modern test libraries
- Perform end-to-end API testing to validate functionality, reliability, and performance of services
- Work closely with development and QA teams to define test requirements and create comprehensive test plans
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers for timely resolution
- Enhance automation frameworks to improve scalability, stability, and test coverage
- Participate in code reviews and provide recommendations on quality testability and automation best practices
- Execute functional regression, smoke, and integration test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines
- Write and execute SQL queries for backend validation during test cycles
- Contribute actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
Required Skills
- Handson experience in automation testing with strong expertise in Java
- Hands-on experience in Playwright or Selenium for UI automation
- Playwright preferred
- Strong proficiency in API automation using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent
- Good understanding of testing principles, automation strategy, and best practices
- Experience with test management tools JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.
- Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for database testing
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Experience working on complex projects in an Agile environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
