Senior, Quality Engineer
Job Summary
Making sure the products meet the required quality standards is the core of this role. This includes defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards, building and maintaining infrastructure, auditing, monitoring, and reporting on quality issues. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in Quality Tools like APQP, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and familiarity with quality management systems such as IATF, VDA, and customer-specific requirements for automotive and/or truck industries.
Responsibilities
- Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.
- Sustains continuous improvement/automation activities using advanced analytical/technical problem-solving.
- Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Customer interface for PPAP submission, customer complaints, and audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- CQE Certification for ASQ, Green Belt or Black Belt training or certification, Lead auditor IATF/ISO 9001.
