About the role

AgriSompo is seeking a Crop Insurance Senior Quality Control Analyst for its Quality Control team. This role plays a key role in ensuring compliance with the Standard Reinsurance Agreement (SRA).

Responsibilities

  • Open, track, assign and monitor RMA Regional Compliance Office Cases (including FSA referrals, Program Monitoring, Individual Policy reviews, and confidential complaints)
  • Communicate with RMA Compliance personnel and other stakeholders (agents, UWs, field claims) and draft formal responses to RMA Compliance Cases
  • Research and interpret policy provisions to provide formal written responses to RMA Regional Compliance Offices
  • Aid in process and system improvements
  • Aid in the continuous monitoring and reporting processes as required by the SRA
  • Maintain HyDRA (data mining reports) – download, track, and assign by analyst
  • Perform other duties as assigned, such as Quality Control reporting

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of crop insurance experience, preferably in claims and/or underwriting
  • CAPP Certification preferred, but not required
  • General crop insurance and knowledge to access information from applicable handbooks
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook plus PDF program
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple assignments and coordinate several projects with changing priorities
  • Ability to work both autonomously and effectively in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or a related field is preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%; 1-2 times a year for meetings

Pay

Compensation is a combination of base salary and incentives that gets adjusted upfront based on overall Company performance with final awards based on individual performance.

Schedule

The role primarily involves sedentary work, requiring the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work is defined as sitting for most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally. The physical environment is a standard office setting, with moderate noise levels and minimal exposure to extreme temperatures (heat or cold). Employees will primarily work indoors in a controlled environment.
