About the Opportunity

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for both API and UI layers of a leading SaaS application. This position contributes to ensuring software quality, scalability, and reliability, while also mentoring team members and promoting best practices within a distributed engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites for API and UI layers
  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to define and implement testing strategies
  • Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and deployment pipeline
  • Participate in load, stress, and endurance testing to validate system performance
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate on remediation efforts
  • Analyze test failures and generate detailed defect reports
  • Validate software compliance with requirements and quality standards
  • Perform manual testing when automation is unsuitable
  • Promote consistent testing practices across development teams
  • Recommend improvements to automation and quality processes
  • Mentor team members on automation design and testing best practices
  • Provide technical leadership in building maintainable and reusable test frameworks

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Agile, collaborative team environments
  • 5+ years developing API and UI test automation solutions
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Playwright
  • Experience with load/performance testing tools like JMeter, k6, or Gatling
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Proficiency in C#, Java, or JavaScript
  • Understanding of web and browser technologies
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Pay

Salary range: $95,000 to $125,000
