Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality efforts across features and product areas.
• Design and execute test strategies for complex, data-heavy systems.
• Validate systems that handle large volumes of data and high-throughput workloads.
• Develop and execute test cases for both data accuracy and system performance.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and troubleshoot issues.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects.
• Contribute to improving test frameworks, tools, and overall QA processes.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure testability and scalability.
• Provide clear, structured feedback during testing cycles.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of Quality Assurance or Software Testing experience.
• Strong experience testing backend systems or data-driven applications.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, including joins and aggregations.
• Hands-on experience validating large-scale datasets or high-volume systems.
• Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
• Ability to test complex application environments and identify edge cases at scale.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in an agile, collaborative engineering environment.

Focus Areas

• Historian or data-focused QA and performance or system QA, including load, throughput, latency, and stability testing.
• Strong preference for experience with high-throughput or distributed systems, performance testing tools and methodologies, time-series data concepts, and complex SQL for validation and debugging.

Experience

Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis.

Pay

$125,000 - $145,000/yr. w2
