Senior QSF Accounting Manager
About the role
Assist the QSF Controller in the management of settlement trusts, including overseeing the AP, AR, and General Ledger functions as well as establishing and assessing related financial controls. This role will be instrumental in designing and implementing scalable, technology-enabled processes to ensure appropriate service levels to customers and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Senior QSF Accounting Manager will also be responsible for the development and training of direct reports.

Responsibilities
- Engage directly with external clients on QSF Accounting matters as required
- Perform Bank Administrative duties
- Design and implement QSF Accounting Policies and Procedures
- Enforce documented system of accounting policies, procedures, and internal safeguards for assigned team and functions
- Evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance in assigned areas
- Plan, direct, and coordinate accounting operational functions for direct reports
- Ensure goals and objectives are on track and achieved for assigned area(s)
- Train, develop, and lead assigned accounting team with the goal of maximizing the strengths of each team member to create an efficient, high-functioning team
- Manage trust tax compliance needs for assigned QSFs
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant designation (preferred)
- Strong understanding of internal controls
- Project management experience
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority-setting skills
- Experience using ERP accounting systems as well as QuickBooks
- Experience in accounting systems implementation (required)
- Audit background (preferred)
- Track record of developing, improving, and documenting processes
- 3-5 years of Accounting Management experience
- 3+ years of tax compliance experience (preferred)
