About the role

Seeking a QA Automation Engineer to safeguard quality in a high-velocity, AI-augmented development lifecycle. This role focuses heavily on creating robust automation scripts and rigorously testing AI-generated features to catch bugs before they reach production.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and execute automated test scripts for Java-backed APIs and Angular UIs.
  • Validate that AI-assisted code fulfills business requirements and maintains edge-case compliance.
  • Manage test data in PostgreSQL and verify AWS deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to understand user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in the agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct 508 compliance testing to ensure our applications meet accessibility standards.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using issue tracking systems.
  • Perform regression testing to validate software changes and ensure existing functionality is not compromised.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.
  • Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of QA testing automation
  • Proficiency with automated testing frameworks applicable to Java/Angular, specifically Cucumber and Selenium
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance testing and accessibility standards
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines in GITLAB
  • Analytical mindset capable of identifying vulnerabilities or "AI slop" in fast-paced builds
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Top Secret security clearance
  • Willing to work onsite 100%

Bonus Points

  • Experience in working with CARS or any other FBI financial systems

Pay

The base pay range for this position in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is: $91,300—$184,900 USD.
