Senior QA Engineer - Automation

About the role

The Senior QA Automation Engineer will join the Human Resource Technology engineering team, focusing on leveraging software development and test automation expertise to enhance the quality of web applications and REST APIs. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests using the Playwright framework. The engineer will also advocate for QA best practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions. The position emphasizes continuous improvement in quality processes and automation effectiveness.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience with architecting automation test platforms.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with architecting and implementing development pipelines (CI/CD).
• Experience in designing and implementing robust QA strategies and test frameworks for API and Web.
• Strong hands-on experience in test automation using Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Proficiency with source control management and collaborative development practices using GitHub.
• Strong SQL and database testing skills, including data validation and test data management.
• Cloud experience preferred, specifically with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated tests for web applications and REST APIs.
• Conduct regression testing and improve software quality through integration with CI/CD tools.
• Establish and promote QA best practices and develop test cases and automation suites.
• Track and resolve defects, participate in defect triage, and validate production releases.
• Collaborate with team members to improve test coverage, release velocity, and production health.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive defect resolution.
