The Opportunity We are hiring a Senior QA Engineer to own quality across the full delivery lifecycle, from business requirement through production sign off. At a regulated exchange where trading, clearing, and the payments that fund them all have to be correct, quality protects our customers' money and our regulatory standing. You will work across distributed backend services in Rust, web and mobile front ends in React and TypeScript, a cloud native platform on Kubernetes, and integrations with payment, identity, and market infrastructure partners. Professional Experience Owning quality across the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements through production sign offRisk based test strategy and test design across unit, integration, end to end, performance, and exploratory testingHands on test automation and the frameworks behind it, integrated into CI/CDTesting distributed backend services and modern web and mobile front endsReading and writing code and validating data directly, not testing only through the UIUsing AI coding and testing tools to accelerate work without lowering the quality bar Qualifications 5+ years in QA or quality engineering, including owning release sign off for production systemsStrong test design and risk analysis skillsHands on test automation, ideally Playwright with TypeScript, plus API testingComfortable reading and writing code in at least one backend language (Rust is a plus)Working SQL for data validationReal, regular use of AI coding and testing tools, with examples you can shareCI/CD experienceClear written communicationPreferred: financial services experience, including trading, payments, or fintechPreferred: experience in regulated environmentsPreferred: performance and load testingPreferred: experience building AI agents, tooling, or LLM evaluationsPreferred: mobile testing Position Responsibilities Turn business requirements into clear, testable acceptance criteria before development startsDefine a risk based test strategy for each initiative, balancing unit, integration, end to end, performance, and exploratory testingDesign, build, and maintain automated test suites and frameworks, and integrate them into CI/CDReview changes for test quality and coverage, and drive flaky or failing tests to root causeOwn the go or no go decision for production releases, with clear, auditable evidence of what was testedTrack escaped defects, feed the lessons back into requirements and tests, and raise the quality bar across the teamUse AI to turn requirements into test scenarios, edge cases, and automationRun agent driven exploratory and UI testingBuild AI assisted tooling for test maintenance and failure triage, and reusable QA workflows the team can applyTest and evaluate AI powered product features, verifying AI output against real system behavior before sign off
