Senior QA Automation Developer (Platform)
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior QA Automation Developer (Platform) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on building and evolving the automation foundation that supports quality, reliability, and faster delivery across the engineering organization. The ideal candidate will bring a product-minded approach to QA automation, turning prototypes into production-ready capabilities and helping streamline how teams test and ship software. This position also involves working closely with engineering partners to identify gaps in existing tooling, improve deployment workflows, and create scalable solutions that strengthen the overall platform.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the automation framework for testing functionality and performance.
- Develop agents to streamline existing QA processes and enhance engineering workflows.
- Create and manage the applications that underpin automation, ensuring robust production deployment.
- Transform prototypes into full products through iterative development and feedback gathering.
- Identify and address gaps in current frameworks and tools, refining solutions to achieve optimal functionality.
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years in production software development with a focus on test infrastructure and tooling.
- Demonstrated experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong command of agentic coding tools for orchestrating automated tasks.
- Hands-on experience with microservices and Kubernetes in deployment management.
- Ability to independently solve ambiguous problems with clear, scoped solutions.

Pay
$110,000 – $130,000 annually
