Senior Python Developer
About the role
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications and backend services using Python. Write clean, efficient, reusable, and production-quality code. Utilize Codex or AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding productivity and workflows. Participate in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning. Develop APIs, integrations, automation, and backend services as required by the business. Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues. Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and business teams to deliver solutions. Adhere to software engineering best practices including source control, testing, documentation, deployment, and security standards. Engage throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Provide technical guidance and help establish engineering best practices within the team.
Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on Python development experience at a senior level.
- Proficient in Codex or similar AI-assisted software development/code-generation tools.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, APIs, and software design principles.
- Experience in building scalable, maintainable, production-grade applications.
- Skilled in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Familiar with modern development tools, source control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid (onsite/remote) environment.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
