Work You'll Do/Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain core Python applications and services, ensuring high code quality, performance, and reliability across the software stack.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and support end-to-end delivery of Python-based components and integrations.
- .Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
Required Qualifications
- 6+yrs Python (Advanced Python proficiency with strong command of both functional and object-oriented (OOP) programming paradigms.)
- Demonstrated experience building production-grade applications with an emphasis on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Strong expertise in concurrency and parallelism, including: Multithreading and multiprocessing Synchronous and asynchronous programming (e.g., async/await)
- Designing for throughput, latency, and safe shared-state handling
- Proven experience integrating with external systems via application interfaces, including: Building and consuming RESTful APIs Authentication/authorization patterns (e.g., API keys, OAuth where applicable) Reliable integration patterns (timeouts, retries, idempotency, error handling)
- Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write efficient, complex queries (joins, aggregations, window functions) and optimize performance where needed.
- Knowledge of Apache Spark and distributed data processing concepts or supporting Spark applications (e.g., Spark SQL, DataFrames, performance tuning basics, partitioning/shuffles).
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,700 to $207,800.
