Senior Purchasing Specialist

Consolidated Turbine Specialists, LLC (CTS), a Kratos company, is seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist to work onsite at their Bristow, OK facility and provide HR support across multiple locations. Kratos develops and fields transformative, affordable technology, platforms, and systems for United States National Security related customers, allies, and commercial enterprises.

About the role

The Senior Purchasing Specialist provides administrative and clerical support specifically related to supply chain and procurement department activities. Assignments may require initiative regarding pricing revisions, order cancellations, discontinued items, acceptable substitutes, delivery date revisions, and invoice discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders, and other related documentation
• Maintains information on computer systems
• Assists in expediting orders
• May assist buyers in contacting vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates
• May develop and maintain resources for assigned commodity items
• Prepares standard requests for quotation
• Adapts solutions to problems for related situations
• Requires fact-finding to understand issues and determine appropriate responses
• Conveys and exchanges basic technical or informational details with colleagues, clients, or customers
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Substantial understanding of the job from experience or training/certification
• Works on moderately difficult assignments guided by defined processes
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 5+ years of related experience

• Office, workstation, and shop floor environments
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones)
