About the role

The Senior Public Health Nurse will provide care management for high-risk pregnancy cases within Durham County. The role involves coordinating prenatal care, managing health risks, and ensuring the well-being of expectant mothers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage prenatal care for high-risk pregnancies.
  • Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health risks.
  • Provide education and support to pregnant women and their families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding high-risk pregnancies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Experience in public health or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of public health policies and procedures.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
