About the role
A Senior Psychometrician ensures the validity, reliability, and fairness of assessment products in an organization dedicated to educational measurement.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes psychometric projects, manages project schedules, and communicates with clients.
- Conducts independent research, including linking and equating studies, and supports others' research.
- Creates white papers and implements best practices in psychometric research, using advanced methods like machine learning and Bayesian inference.
- Provides expert consultation to clients regarding assessment methods and results.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in educational statistics, measurement, psychometrics, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
- Extensive knowledge of educational assessment procedures.
- Familiarity with education technology and software development (e.g., C++, REST APIs).
- Proficiency in statistical and psychometric software (e.g., R, Python, WINSTEPS).
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and publish research.
