About the Role
Under the general direction of the Chief Psychologist, Correctional Facility (CF), the Senior Psychologist, Correctional Facility (Supervisor) is responsible for:
- Direct training and clinical/administrative supervision of subordinate staff psychologists as assigned.
- Performing the most difficult psychological evaluations and associated treatment of inmate-patients.
- Assisting in program development and evaluation, research, training, clinical consultation, and revision of department policy and procedures.
- Functioning as a specialized psychological consultant to institutional staff upon request.
Pay
Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) reduces the base salary of full-time employees by 3% and provides 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Part-time and permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same conditions on a prorated basis.
Recruitment and retention incentives may be available for newly hired clinicians, including:
- A $10,000 one-time stipend after six months of employment.
- A monthly recruitment and retention differential during the first year (totaling $20,000).
CDCR and CCHCS employees may be eligible for a $5,000 referral bonus if the selected candidate remains employed for 90 days.
