About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to support a portfolio of Dallas-based properties. This role is responsible for full-cycle property accounting, financial reporting, and partnering with property and asset management teams to ensure accurate and timely financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle property accounting for a multi-property portfolio
  • Perform financial reporting and general ledger maintenance
  • Conduct CAM reconciliations and lease accounting
  • Collaborate with property and asset management teams
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting principles
  • Analyze financial performance and resolve discrepancies
  • Communicate financial insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5–7+ years of property accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate (office/retail)
  • Experience managing multi-property portfolios
  • Strong Yardi experience (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
  • Solid understanding of lease accounting and CAM reconciliations
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with retail or mixed-use portfolios
  • Exposure to investor reporting or REIT environments

Pay

$90,000 – $110,000 per year
