About the role
Wallick Communities seeks a Senior Staff Property Accountant to support a portfolio of affordable multifamily and senior living properties. In this role, you will manage full-cycle property accounting, including general ledger activity, month-end close, CAM/tax/insurance reconciliations, and preparation of timely, accurate financial statements. You'll analyze variances, support annual budgets and audits, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Partnering closely with operations and asset management, you'll provide financial insights that support mission-driven, resident-focused communities across multiple states.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Perform month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Complete CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations for assigned properties
- Analyze variances and provide explanations to operations and leadership
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assist with internal and external audits and compliance requirements
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and company accounting policies
- Collaborate with operations and asset management to provide financial insights
