Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing water and wastewater projects of varying complexity, and ensuring all projects are delivered to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with the agreed-to scope, schedule, and budget. This position also involves working with the Department Director on various business development activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with marketing and technical staff to develop proposal sections, technical approaches, and scopes of work.
  • Participate in client management for assigned key clients.
  • Drive/travel to client meetings, field work, and site inspections.
  • Identify and market additional business opportunities with key clients.
  • Support business development by seeking new work, attending networking events, presenting at various venues, etc.
  • Affiliate with the Department Director on Department and Business initiatives.
  • Facilitate the necessary interdisciplinary coordination inside and outside the Department required to execute projects.
  • Execute the design to the appropriate level of detail in a manner that minimizes risk to the firm.
  • Operate as a client service manager to maintain existing relationships and establish new ones.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 10-14 years of experience serving municipal clients involving planning, consulting, design, and construction services for a wide variety of services including water and wastewater planning and design.
  • Range is based on 10-14 years of experience, more experienced individuals encouraged to apply, compensation based on experience.
  • Proficiency in stormwater design is a plus, but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience in successful project management, client interaction, and staff development.
  • Client management experience preferred.
  • Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
  • PE License required.

Pay

This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $140,000 - $175,000 per year. In addition to salary, you are eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and PTO.
