Senior Project Manager- Renewable Energy
About the role
The Senior Project Manager - Project Delivery role centers around driving technical and commercial outcomes in pursuit of facility construction. We oversee the construction of projects, working with utilities who connect our projects to the grid, offtakers who purchase our power, and the lenders who finance them. You own the coordination between these parties, you report to the Director of Project Delivery, and you bring our projects online in fulfillment of our obligations, on schedule and within budget. You carry a portfolio of PV and battery storage projects, usually two or three at a time, from origination to Final Completion.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll work as part of a team of engineers, financial professionals, construction experts, and business managers to plan, design, finance, and construct PV Arrays and Battery Energy Storage Systems. Your mandate is facilitating collaboration across Nofar USA's functions and managing budgets and schedules throughout project development, preconstruction, construction, and commissioning. You drive those outcomes the whole way, and you hand the project over at Final Completion. You'll be at the center of our business workflows, inside and outside the company.

- Reconcile the schedule, the cost, and the contract record so that at Final Completion the next team can take the project
Requirements
What We Value
- People who are driven to succeed, and who can work with minimal oversight
- Detail-oriented people. The tracker, the milestone report, and the budget are useful only when they are right
- Opinionated colleagues, willing to say how a project ought to be run
- People who are passionate about a career bringing power assets online
- People who are comfortable in a growth organization, where the way we work is still being shaped by the people doing the work
What We Require
- Remote or Hybrid work, with up to 25% travel
- A minimum of three years delivering utility-scale solar or battery storage. Five years is preferred
- Required experience in preconstruction, managing budgets, and managing schedules
- Preferred experience with PPA milestone management, utility and ISO interconnection agreements, EPCA negotiation and administration, and working with finance on lender reporting during procurement and construction
- We look for degrees in mathematics, statistics, engineering, the sciences, finance, and business. But if you believe you can do this job, we encourage you to apply
Benefits
We operate with a lean, highly capable team, which means there aren't layers of people between you and the work that matters. You'll have real ownership, direct access to decision-makers, and the opportunity to influence how we build and grow the business.
We move quickly, the workload can be demanding, and our expectations are high. This is an environment for people who enjoy being challenged, solving problems, taking initiative, and figuring things out as we grow. In return, you'll gain exposure, responsibility, and influence that can take years to earn in a more traditional organization.
The people who do best here are proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership. They don't wait to be told what to do next, and they're willing to step outside the boundaries of a job description when the business needs it. They care about outcomes more than watching the clock, bring solutions instead of simply identifying problems, and genuinely enjoy the energy — and occasional ambiguity — that comes with building a growing company.
