The Siemens Project Management Office (PMO) seeks a Senior Project Manager to join the EA team. This position can be based remotely within the United States, with a preference for hybrid work in the Wendell, NC area. The role involves directing all project phases from inception through completion in a matrix organization, managing cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance, and leading multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver medium‑voltage solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of projects from inception through completion.
  • Manage the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of assigned project(s).
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Lead and drive multi‑disciplinary and cross‑functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics, and services to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide regular updates to team, management, and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status.
  • Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Proactive risk identification and mitigation.
  • Manage customer expectations across the project cycle and lead single and multi‑product medium‑voltage solutions projects.
  • Direct diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actions.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 5+ years of experience in the power distribution industry managing medium‑voltage portfolios.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Project.
  • 3+ years of working with multi‑disciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, and logistics.
  • Valid US Driver’s License.
  • PMP certification.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Project management or engineering internship or related work experience in power distribution industry.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of power distribution; ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings and customer specifications.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing cost‑savings measures within projects.
  • Commitment to develop, drive, and manage projects in a highly competitive market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present complex issues to multi‑level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status, and issues to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interpret and report results to senior management as well as customers.
  • Demonstrated ability in contract and change management.

Pay

Salary range: $74,970 – $128,520
