Senior Project Manager/Program Manager, Logistics Automation

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing warehouse or manufacturing automation solutions, coordinating various teams including facility, operations, engineering, vendor, and IT, to deliver complex projects that enhance productivity, safety, inventory accuracy, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple workstreams, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Develop and execute project plans, including vendor selection, implementation, go-live, and operational stabilization phases.
• Lead the development and delivery of large-scale logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution center, or warehouse technology projects.
• Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and executive-level reporting for complex projects.
• Bridge conversations between operations, engineering, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of automation technologies.
• Align business, operations, engineering, finance, sourcing, and technology teams around common objectives.
• Present to senior leadership and steering committees to secure buy-in and support for automation initiatives.
• Develop and implement training, communications, and adoption strategies to support new ways of working.
• Evaluate productivity improvements, labor savings, safety benefits, inventory accuracy gains, and space utilization improvements resulting from automation investments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of project or program management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution center, or warehouse technology projects.
• Experience managing capital projects involving facility upgrades, automation equipment, and system implementations.
• Demonstrated success leading projects through planning, vendor selection, implementation, go-live, and operational stabilization phases.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, and executive-level reporting for complex projects.
• Technical experience with warehouse automation and material handling equipment (MHE), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Vertical Lift Modules (VLM), Vertical Bins Modules (VBM), conveyors, sortation, and packaging automation.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS).
• Experience integrating automation equipment with enterprise platforms.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain operations environments.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications in project management or related fields are a plus.

• Change Management: Proven ability to lead organizational change and operational transformation; experience developing training, communications, and adoption strategies to support new ways of working.
• Business Acumen: Ability to manage projects with clear ROI expectations; comfortable evaluating productivity improvements, labor savings, safety benefits, inventory accuracy gains, and space utilization improvements resulting from automation investments.
