Senior Project Manager – Power Generation

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive and proactive client relationships.
  • Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
  • Serve as proposal champion/manager and assist with proposal preparation, review of contract terms and conditions, and evaluate risks associated with the services being offered.
  • Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff in completion of project activities.
  • Provide regular communication and coordination within the project team and with the client such that the project work plan and the client’s expectations on deliverables are understood and aligned.
  • Maintain project deliverables for quality, completeness, and conformance to the client’s expectations.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain the project budget and schedule. Develop appropriate recovery plans in the event of potential shortfalls.
  • Monitor the contracted scope of work and identify scope changes.
  • Provide training and mentoring to project team staff on project management and project consulting issues.
  • Guide design or consulting work in the manager’s area of engineering expertise.
  • Routinely report project progress to the local and regional accounting and operations team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; or combination of Degree and Relevant Project Experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant power generation project experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PMP Certification).
  • Experience designing or managing simple cycle and combined cycle EPC projects as owner, owner’s engineer, OEM, or EPC contractor.
  • Have the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated business development skills.
  • Good communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills.
  • MS Office, Adobe, and other relevant software experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 10 years related experience
  • 5 years of project management experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software
  • Ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
